Doctors:
Our doctors are members of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr.
Bruce
Dr.
Bruce is a life long resident of MN. He attended Robbinsdale High School,
then completed his undergraduate degree and Dental school at the University
of Minnesota in 1970. In the 30+ years he’s been practicing dentistry
he has enjoyed helping people achieve better dental health, has served
as chairman of the St. Paul and MN Dental Associations and is past member
of the Peer Review Committee. Dr. Bruce and his wife Sherry live in
Burnsville have 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 son-in-laws, 1 daughter-in-law
and 3 black labs. When he isn’t hunting or fishing, Dr. Bruce also
enjoys bowling and dog training.
Dr. Tanya
Dr.
Tanya is Dr. Bruce’s daughter and a lifelong Minnesota resident.
She attended Burnsville High School, then completed her undergraduate
degree at St. Ben’s and St. Cloud with completing Dental school
at the University of Minnesota in 1997. She has worked in the dental
office in all areas since 1987. She now enjoys being a Dentist and a
Mother. Dr. Tanya and her husband, Jeff, live in Prior Lake with their
son, Kaden, and daughter, Kalia and a black lab, Riley. Their love of
the water keeps them busy waterskiing, fishing and boating. During Dr.
Tanya’s free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends,
swimming and reading.
Dr. Heidi
Dr.
Heidi is a life long resident of MN. She grew up in Apple Valley, attended
Apple Valley High School, then went on to complete her undergraduate
degree and Dental School at the University of Minnesota in 2003. She
has worked at Heart of the City Dental since 1999 as a Dental Assistant
while going through college. Dr. Heidi truly enjoys the daily variety
and challenges that practicing dentistry offers and looks forward to
many more years. In her free time she enjoys waterskiing with the Prior
Lake waterski team, scuba diving and traveling. Dr. Heidi currently
lives in Rosemount with her husband, Brian.
Staff:
Alicia
Alicia
is one of the bright smiling faces behind the desk that greets you when
you come in the door. She grew up in California and has been in the dental
field since 1994, first as a Dental Assistant, then Front Desk and now
Office Manager. She joined our team in 1999 after moving here from South
Dakota. Alicia enjoys volleyball, softball, snowmobiling, fishing, camping
and her two feline “kids” George and Tucker.Kari
Kari
is the other friendly face behind the counter. She moved here in 2004
from Southern California where she was a Dental Assistant. Kari has
been in the dental field since 1996. Kari and her husband, Bob, have
a dog/child named Bear. In her free time, Kari likes traveling, fishing,
boating and spending time with friends and family.
Tara
If
you come in for a Monday evening appointment, you’ll find Tara
greeting you at the front desk. Tara is Dr. Bruce’s daughter and
Dr. Tanya’s sister, and has worked in the office and been in the
dental field since 2000. She and her husband, Tony, live in Prior Lake
with their two kids, Carlee, Brody and their black lab, Mandy. Tara
enjoys spending time at Pelican Lake and Big Sandy Lake, fishing, golfing,
playing cards and hanging out with family and friends.
Noni
Noni
is a Dental Hygienist and has been in the dental field since 1971 and
with us since 1990. She and her husband, Dick, live in Burnsville and
are enjoying being empty-nesters, although they love having their eight
grandkids visit the “nest”. Noni loves to garden, read and
have coffee with the girls.
Claudia
Claudia
is a Dental Hygienist and has been in the dental field since 1997 and
with Heart of the City Dental since 2001. She and her husband, Tony,
live in Burnsville. They have 3 daughters out of the nest with one son
in high school. Claudia enjoys being involved in her son’s sporting,
music and youth group activities. In her free time she camps, hikes,
bikes, scrapbooks and reads.
Val
Val
is our Lead Dental Assistant and has been in the dental field and working
with us since 1997. She and her husband, Joe, have three kids (Drew,
Josh and Cayla), and two cats (Neptune and Torpedo). Val’s hobbies
include reading, skiing and playing sports with her children (especially
hockey, T-ball, basketball and gymnastics).
Yelena
Yelena
is one of our Dental Assistants and has been in the dental field since
1998 and here with us since 2001. Originally from Ukraine, she and her
husband Natan, now live in Apple Valley with their son, Michael, who
is now in college, and their dog Martina. Yelena enjoys gardening, cooking,
reading and spending time with family and friends.
Barb
Barb
is one of our Dental Assistants and has been in the field since 1984
and working with us since 2002, after coming to us as a patient. She
grew up in Bird Island, MN ( a small town 100 miles SW of the Cities)
and now lives in Burnsville with her husband, Steve, and one of her
2 children Chase, and their black lab. Her oldest child Chelsea is in
college at Mankato. Barb makes beautiful quilts and also enjoys swimming,
reading, camping and watching her kids’ sporting events.
Kim
Kim
is one of our Dental Assistants that has been in the dental field since
1982 and with us since 2004. Kim is an avid Minnesota Gopher fan, especially
hockey. She was born and raised in Farmington and still lives there
with her “daughter” Cinder Ella, the Shih Tzu. Kim enjoys
boating, fishing, golfing, hockey and being with good friends.
Margaret
Margaret
is a Dental Hygienist and has been in the dental field since 1982 and
with us since 2006. Margaret and her husband Len live in Webster. They
have 2 children, their daughter is still at home and their son is in
college at St. Olaf. Margaret enjoys spending time with her horses,
helping her daughter in horse shows, watching her sons baseball games,
reading and traveling.
